We want to share 5 things to do in Calgary. Hope you can get out there and check some of them out!
1. Fireworks at The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland (formerly Fort Calgary)
📍The best viewing location for the fireworks is at The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland (formerly Fort Calgary), 750 9 Ave SE, Calgary, AB T2G 5E1.
🕙 Canada Day will end with a fireworks show at approximately 11 p.m., launched from Stampede Park. Events will be from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
💡 You can also watch the fireworks from wherever you typically go to see Stampede fireworks, but this is the best place in the city to see them. On-site viewing at Stampede Park will not be available. The City of Calgary is hosting its Canada Day celebrations at The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland. Enjoy live music, an Indigenous showcase, a Powwow, an artisan market, and Food Vendors. The main stage features a lineup of all-Canadian musical performances from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

⏰ You can come down to the Confluence Historic Site & Parkland anytime after 11:00 a.m., but the Fireworks start at 11:00 p.m. It is recommended to arrive as early as possible to secure a good spot.
🚗 Parking at The Confluence Historic Site & Parkland in Calgary is available in the ParkPlus lot, with rates of $0.75 per half hour for the first two hours and $0.50 per half hour thereafter during daytime hours (6 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Evening parking (6 p.m. to 6 a.m.) is also $0.50 per half hour. The site is located at 750 9th Ave SE
2. Canada Day on St. Patrick’s Island
📍St. Patrick’s Island is located at 1300 Zoo Rd NE, Calgary, Alberta T2E 7V6
🕙 Canada Day events are on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 | 11 AM to 5 PM
💡 Admission is free for everyone. Family-friendly entertainment through St. Patrick’s Island Park on three stages showcasing music, arts and theatre, fun activities, and outdoor spaces for playing, eating, and enjoying the day. Enjoy family-friendly entertainment and the beautiful park, Three stages with live music (Trout Beach, The Rise & Confluence Plaza, Face painting and airbrush tattoos, Playground and picnic spots, and Food vendors

⏰ It is advised to arrive early to secure a good spot to watch the fireworks that will be launched at Stampede Park and to enjoy in the events taking place all day!
🚗 On Canada Day, which falls on a Saturday this year, parking at St. Patrick's Island in Calgary will be free at city parkades and on-street meters, according to the City of Calgary. You can also access the island by walking from the George C. King Bridge or parking at the Calgary Zoo's back entrance
3. Canada Day at Calaway Park
📍Come and join us at Calaway Park for a fun day full of excitement, located at 245033 Range Rd 33 Calgary, AB.
🕙 Gates open from 10 am to 7 pm
💡 Celebrate Canada with us! Stop by the Canada Day Station to be outfitted with Canada Day pins and flags. Open 10 am to 7 pm. There are shows, rides, games and lots of tasty treats for purchase all around the park. You can purchase one-day tickets for Calaway Park at any Calgary Co-op location for a reduced price. Members can also find exclusive deals on season passes and other attractions through Calgary Co-op.

⏰ Gates open from 10 am to 7 pm. Arrive slightly early to get the best parking spots and avoid the lineups. The parks close with enough time to go check out some other events or even the fireworks!

4.Canada Day at Olympic Plaza and The Municipal Building
📍There will be some amazing planned events at The Municipal Building located at 800 Macleod Trail SE, Calgary.
🕙 Canada Day will be on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 | 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
💡 Get ready to experience traditional cultural clothing! A variety of cultural groups will showcase authentic attire, giving you the chance to try them on and capture the moment at the photo booth. Explore and try on beautiful cultural outfits that showcase the unique styles and stories of communities around the world. Admission is Free for all! ⏰ The event kicks off at 11:00 a.m. and goes through to 5:00 p.m. Arrive early to find a good parking spot. You can visit some other attractions for the day or grab a bite to eat at one of our Cities delicious spots to eat and then check out the Fireworks at 11:00 p.m. for a full day of celebrations!
🚗 On-street parking is free on Canada Day in Calgary. Additionally, the City Hall Parkade (Lot 36) is available, with 640 spots, but it has opening hours of 4:30 AM to 10 PM.
5. Canada Day Tea at Heritage Park
📍Heritage Park is located at 1900 Heritage Dr SW, Calgary, AB T2V 2X3
🕙 July 1, 2025 (Tea seatings will be at 11:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 1:15 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 3:00 p.m. & 3:30 p.m.). The gates open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
💡 You can also watch the fireworks from wherever you typically go to see Stampede fireworks. Onsite viewing at Stampede Park will not be available

🚗 On Canada Day at Heritage Park, paid parking is available in the front lots. Members who have purchased the parking add-on park for free. The ParkPlus zone number for the front lots is 8320. The daytime parking rate is $10 for the first 7 hours, and $10 per hour thereafter, with a maximum charge of $30
