Don’t miss the spectacular fireworks show every night at 11:00 PM over the Calgary Stampede grounds. This stunning pyrotechnic display lasts approximately 15 minutes and is the perfect way to cap off your day. The best viewing spots are located right in front of the Big Four Building, so arrive early to secure a good place.
Pricing Expectations:
Beyond admission costs, here’s what you can expect to budget for the Stampede:
Food & Snacks: $10-$25 per meal, depending on your selections.
Ride Tickets: Approximately $5 each; consider an all-day ride pass for around $50.
Merchandise: Budget $20-$50 for unique Stampede souvenirs.
Parking: Public transport is recommended, but if driving, expect fees of $15-$30 and more for parking near the grounds.
You can definitely have a good time at the Stampede on a budget, but it is generally quite expensive if you want to take in all of the festivities. Either way, you can have an amazing time.
What to Bring to ensure you have a fantastic day, consider bringing:
Comfortable Walking Shoes: You'll be doing a lot of walking!
Sunscreen and Sunglasses: Protect yourself from the sun during the day.
Reusable Water Bottle: Stay hydrated — there are refill stations throughout the grounds.
Cash/Card: Some vendors may only accept cash, so it’s good to have both options available.
Light Jacket or Sweater: Calgary evenings can get chilly, so be prepared for temperature drops.
Pro Tips for a Great Day:
Arrive Early: Getting to the grounds early can help avoid crowds and give you time to experience more attractions.
Plan Your Day: Take a look at the schedule of events and shows in advance; having a loose itinerary will help you maximize your experience.
